Why NoleFear? Just for the fight? I can't imagine that you would want to eat one, ha.

saw one sunday i think in a grass flat with its tail in the air like a redfish. it sat there for like 5 minutes. lol. was not concerned with us at all. couldnt get close enough to confirm it was a carp.... but that was the concensus. big too! fin had to be a good 6-8 inches out of the water.

The islands around Spooner field and Saunders slew are full of them( of course in the water around the islands) Look in the grass edges in 2-4 ft of water. They was thick about a month ago.

There's big carp in Lake Hall - I see them there every other week or so.

Nole, try the canal that feeds into Brocketts Slough...just up river from wingates. the canals are full of them and can be sight fished by looking for them mudding like bonefish. give me a call some time and we'll take my boat and will pole around some looking.
Have seen a few in the 25-30lb range back in the canals...have seen some larger on the main lake.

I have seen more and more people targeting carp on fly..."poor man's bonefish" might not apply anymore as I have seen some guys targeting carp with some pretty pricey gear and boats. They are a ton of fun on fly...give us a report if you track em down.
