Decided to do a pm trip Sunday afternoon. I kind of figured it would storm mid afternoon and it did. Kind of figured it would cool off after the storm, it didnt. Not exactly sure how hot Hell is but if its any hotter than the front deck of my Maverick was Sunday afternoon, I'm fixing to start behavin!!!! Started out west and told my partner we should go hit the "Humps" I had fished the week before. Couldnt even fish a jig the grass mats were so bad. Fished about an hour out deep and told my buddy, lets head in. We may not catch any great numbers but maybe we could get on a pig or two. Eased into the first creek and fished down the current side if the bar. Several blowups on the JPLE. No serious takers. We fish the creek mouth thoroughly since it was about thirty minutes after the high. I tell my partner its time to head east. About half way over, I told my buddy "Lets swing by a cobe number Ive got about a half mile from here". Money. First cast 35" cobe
Second cast, Money, 39" cobe.
Decided to move into the rockpiles and tried for a late evening pig trout and could only come up with four of these. One of them gave me a war wound(notice my forearm)
Biggest red was 25.5".
Oh yea, on the way down 98 we saw Smokie crossing the road
He wasnt in the mood to talk and took the quick path to the woods. All in all, a great trip but not even one dink trout. Still yet to break the Maverick in proper with trout but did find out theres room for two twent pound cobes in the biggest livewell!!

Nice afternoon. It looks like that red earned his keep. I hope he made it to the ice box.

Just got through cleaning the cobes. Sharp knife, heel of the hand, looks like stitches are now in order if I cant get it to stop bleeding. These dang cobes have been hard earned to be so easy to get on the hook!! So, how bad of a cut does it take to warrant stitches?? This one is about two inches long and to the bone.

Thank God its not my casting hand!!

BB try some duct tape. If it don't heal right, then you'll know you should have had the stitches.

If ya can't go without injuring yourself, maybe you need to give up fishing.
Get the stitches. It'll heal 3 times faster if it's sewn up. I guess this means CT is gonna have to carry you Saturday.

Dang BB, I don't think bleedin' is necessary to catch fish but whatever works for ya.

Nice cobies

I hope you didn't get that pretty boat all messed up again

Them trout were hard to find Saturday at Econfina too, but we managed a 3 man limit once the tide turned.
Just finished 'em off and now I'm enjoying a nice big piece of homemade key lime pie with a cup of Boca Java's Sumatran Sunset coffee

Soon it will be

If its to the bone, you will need antibiotic treatment and stitches...get your fanny to the doctor!

Nice fishes.
Super glue may seal it, but with a cut to the bone, it may only seal in infection...serious infection.
