My most beloved friend, companion, fishing buddy, pet, POGO had to be laid down this afternoon.
POGO has been my life for 14 years.
She loved fishing more than me. However, when her eyesight started going, she became afraid to go on the boat.
I won't go into all the other ailments she acquired. They collectively brought her down.

God had the foresight to allow me the day off. I had no service calls scheduled whatsoever.
By midmorning I knew why.
POGO and I spent the day together. I would hold her and tell her everything would be OK when she would have a seizure. She would calm right down and look at me with her sightless eyes as if to say...thanks Dad.

Thank you POGO for 14 years of knowing the most amazing friend.
You will be dearly, dearly missed.

Please say a prayer for her.

That's rough JT. I think everybody who fished the salt in this area met or at least heard Pogo a time or two. He'll be missed.

You shoud feel lucky to get 14 years with your best fishing buddy. Sorry for your loss.

JT, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss. My family and I have recently gone through the same thing with our dog/family member of 12 years. It gets easier to think about and talk about her as time goes on and you'll always have the memories of her. R.I.P Pogo

SORRY TO HEAR THAT JT, WE WERE FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO HAVE A LOT OF MOVIES OF (PEANUTS) DOING HIS ACT, HE HAD QUITE A FEW AND WAS ALWAYS WILLING TO ENTERTAIN GUEST, THAT WAS 30 YRS AGO AND I STILL MISS THAT LITTLE RASCAL, WE HAD HIM 14 YRS. AND THAT IS A LONG TIME THAT WE ENJOYED HIM.

Losing one's best 4 legged friend is tough. Sorry to hear this!
