Left Presnells at 7:15 a.m. went looking for redfish. Didn't find them like we have the past few times. Still able to pick up 2 scattered reds on neon mercury grubs under CT cork. Stumbled onto the reds by fishing along the grass edge in the south end of the bay. Didn't see any big pods like in past trips. Started looking for trout never did establish any water depth pattern picked up 8 between 4 people in 2 boats with the largest being 22". Caught about 12, 13-14 " throwbacks. Caught the trout on neon mercury and chickenbone colored grubs under a CT cork in 2' -8' of water. Had porpoises move in on us several times , sure that didn't help the fishing any. Saw 1 tarpon do an aerial manuever that was pretty cool. Bite was over at 11:30 Left Presnell's at 12:00. Can't wait until next time.

Birddog, man I'm glad yau'll got to go. Most everybody that come in the store said they weren't gonna brave the weather. Let me know what kind of fishing plans yau'll have for the 4th. I'll probably be down there for three days if we get off on Saturday. Take it easy.
