Work called me down to the AP Marina today to clean a boat for a fishing trip tomorrow. While I worked, the boy fished
I usually get the raw end of this deal. There was a high tide when we got there just after 2:00pm. We would have been there sooner, but we had to stop off at Stevens in Panacea for some mullet and sweet tea
Oh yeah, and I had to stop at Advantage Marine earlier for some bilge cleaner and walked out and left it on the counter...didn't even notice till I got down to AP. Anyhow, the bite was good when he started fishing and managed a few HUGE sailcats and a nice flounder. The trout were small, but as long as the fish are biting, he don't care
Just before we left at 6:00pm, he managed this little guy on a gulp of all things.......

Just before the little gag hit, a big shark jumped completely out of the water right next to the stakes in the picture.....really cool to watch!!!!
Got almost to Panacea and realized that I left my fishing gps numbers book on the back of the guy's boat....nothing like giving out fishing spots with a detail then leaving the entire book behind....it's really good for business and a great combo for the recipient if they can catch some fish there
Dad just wasn't on his mental game today.......however, there's always tomorrow
