Just an FYI, SA in the Tallahassee Mall has a big sale going on several Reels right now. Several are 40% off.
I picked up a 400BSV Calcutta for just over a C note.

Sportsman's Warehouse Grand Opening is scheduled for Saturday July 26. I'll be there in the afternoon with a Duck's Unlimited booth. Feel free to come by and say howdy. Hope to see y'all there.

Sportsman's Warehouse is actually open today. I was in there about 3:00. They have some super low prices on reels, also.
This is the first store i've ever been in on opening day that had closeout sales.

Went to check out the warehouse today around noon and were not open yet due to tec. difficulties. They said they'd be open at 3 pm and for our trouble we got a 10$ off coupon with a purchase over 50$. I'm sure this weekend i'll have no problem redeeming it!

So TC, how many of those $50 swimbaits did you buy?
I'm going to wait for their grand opening ad to come out before I buy anything. They have a small selection of Falcon Low Rider rods at a really great price.

Just stopped by Sportsman's Warehouse on my lunch break. Was disappointed to see the heavy freshwater slant in the fishing department.
Talked to one of the associates and he told me that they opened with the basic inventory and will be adjusting in the coming weeks based on customer input. They know they need to add more salt water products and gear.
Sean is the fishing department manager and I spoke with Brian. If you visit SWH and would like to see a more diverse assortment, please let one of them know your preferences.
Nice selection of clothing, hunting and camping supplies otherwise and they seemed genuinely committed to serving the outdoor community.

I think this is the first one in the Southeast, so they'll probably have to adjust their inventory some to meet the demand down here.

As far as the prices, I have been watching and most places have been clearancing off there reels. I have picked up three new reels lately, and have even seen some Shimano reels on clearance on Bass Pros website in the last few weeks. Buy'em up while you can. Fellow that worked in the Walmart sporting goods on the Parkway said one man came in the same day they clearanced all of the Shimano reels and bought everyone they had, and that was less thAn two weeks ago. Gotta love this Ebay world. It makes it really tough to find a good deal anymore. Know doubt, that someone bid nearly full retail price for those reels. Gander Mountain had them buy one, get one 50% off, and just about everywhere has been slashing prices. Could be just adjusting for the economy, but I figured it was just the end of there fiscal year, and out with the old, in with the new
