Went out this morning to Inky with my brother-in-law hoping to get skinny. Made it in to a few creeks looking for reds, but only found 1 red, a couple of flounder and a jack. Jack Crevalle on topwater are a lot of fun. Swede was at the back of the boat throwing a Spook Jr. and it sounded like a freight train hit the plug behind me. I thought for sure he had a monster red, but it was a blast regardless watching the jack run in that shallow of water.
The bite slowed at slack tide, so went out a few miles to find some trout. The water clarity was great as usual, but we never found a steady bite. We tried lots of different depths/terrain, nothing but rock bass and the occasional trout. We got pretty deep and found some consistent rocky bottom, but I think we'll save those numbers for the winter time.
Overall, slow day, but ended up with a decent cooler. The wind could have picked a little more, but the cloud cover helped.
Not many pictures taken, but my niece wanted to see a shark last weekend and we didn't produce. So here's your daddy with this monster.
