ESPN ran a special on teams/cities with the most National Championships, Valdosta won it. All in all it was pretty silly, comparing Valdosta High Schools to teams like Green Bay, Chicago, etc. was like apples to oranges. But it was cool to see the towns get behind their teams.

We won it by making it a team effort by the town, county and around the State. A true Championship. Bay Gator, its only silly to you because the St. Joe Sharks were not on the list :smt005

Winning many many many many football games is a good start. A bunch of national championships helps.

Im not trying to be an arsehole. I just dont equate a small town in south ga as title town. how can you compare vtown to boston, ny, green bay??? how do a few d2 championships and a few high school championships hold up against super bowl wins, world series wins, nba championships etc... maybe i missed something by catching ESPN every other day here in Iraq, but it just doesnt seem like valdosta is a true title town. sorry if i offend anyone its just my opinion.

We can all have our different opinions but calling Valdosta podunk is pretty much a low blow. I was raised in Valdosta. I ain't po and I beat I got more dunk than a lot of people :-D Bottom line is that we have more national championships and State Championships on more levels than any other city in the nation.

ESPN, which I think knows more about sports and titles than me and most of the folks on this board, was VERY emphatic after they left the first visit that Valdosta deserved to be Titletown. Why some folks think a bunch of overpaid pros are the peak of the sporting world is beyond me.

Sorry to see so many jealous haters on this board :hammer:

Bottom line is that we won it and all the bad mouthing in the world can't take it way.

Let's get one thing straight, I couldn't care less about about high school football Moultrie, Valdosta or otherwise.
You need to lighten up MD there are people out there and in here that have differing opinions than you, but when someone disagrees you get bent outta shape. Nobody has called you an arsehole yet so please return the gesture.
