Me and a couple buddies went down the Wacissa last night to try some more gigging and Bowfishing, ended up with 6 Mullet, 5 Blacks, and 2 Cats. Not the best night on the water but fun. Home and in bed at 12:00

A night on the Wacissa is always a good night. Glad you had a good time.

I do something like that, but with a Rod and Reel.

You'll also want to add a small trolling motor and a couple buckets to sit on. Takes a toll on your neck and shoulders, looking down and poling for 5 hours.

Here is my setup. Notice the fixed trolling motor bracket on the front right. Might go to a front railing this winter and mount the lights a couple feet off the bow. Also gonna put a platform on the back to put the generator on to get it off the floor of the boat.





The hps lights give off an amber color light.


If you have a good monitor, you can see the shrimp sitting on the flounder, about an inch behind the gills.

That's not a bad gig trip bbb. Looks like you all have that program figured out for sure. Question though, seeing your dog box in the truck, do you keep a dog with you to fetch after gigging, or just to fetch beverages? Nice setup and great trip

Mind if I ask which size light and generator you use and do you have the lights wired together or separate...thanks for info!

I use a Honda eu2000 generator.
I have six of the 150 watt HPS lights with capacitors to allow them to start up quickly.
I have two, 3-way heavy duty extension cords going to the generator.

I got all my lighting ideas from this website.
