Old fishing pictures - Continued

I think it was Jsuber who shared some old family photos with us a few months ago, and I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Its nice to see how they used to do it before Gulp! was invented.

I visited my parents last weekend and I asked my Mother if she had any old fishing pictures of my Grandfather. Unfortunately she didn't, but she did have one of my Great Grandfather. He used to fish the Pamlico River near the Outer Banks in Eastern North Carolina. I never had a chance to meet him, but I'm sure he would have appreciated this forum and others like it.

This one was taken sometime during the 1940's. My Mom calls it Jack's Catch of the Day.

Thats a lot of Stripers, and in the late fall early winter you can still catch them like that and bigger.
