scallops on the half shell... really.

Post by bman »

I read about it here
http://www.flseagrant.org/program_areas ... tm#recipes
and dared my buddies try it tonight and my wife obliged me... while turning up her nose.

I removed the top shell from a dozen scallops and left every thing else- eyes guts and all.
My wife put olive oil, Lemon juice, salt, pepper, @ a little parmigiana cheese and put them under the broiler.
They tasted great- a little more like an oyster. Even my bride liked it!

Didn't take a photo but I promise it was good. I'll take a photo next time

I liked it so much, I bought the company ;-)

Add a little spinach and make it Scallops Rockefeller. I'll have to try that soon.
