I was hoping to show you guys some pictures of giant reds and gator trout. Instead, I could have taken pictures of big snot cats and really little trout.

I fish down there a couple of times a year. I've never seen the water so dirty. Couldn't see bottom in 1.5' of water. Kinda of makes sight fishing tough. I was in a canoe. It got molested several times by several sea cows. If the canoe could talk, it would tell you it felt very violated. Made for an interesting ride. I did find some really big reds in some really large schools. Problem was, I found them by floating right on top of them and man they were very spooky. Once I ran over them, I could find them again; but, they wouldn't eat.

Saw a lot of other boats, never did see anyone having any success. Still enjoy fishing that place. Just something different. Can't wait to go back and try again.

Sorry the fish didn't bite, Eerman. A buddy fished with me over at St. Simons, Ga. this past Sat. and we didn't do any good, either. Fished 5 hrs. and barely brought back a few small bottom fish. A lady at the bait shop said they'd had lots of rain, that might be why the water was stained where you fished.

He said, "feel sorry for you"...not, "We feel he's sorry."

There are some good golf courses down there
Sorry you had a tough trip. Sounds like the cows had fun though.
