We packed up and headed home but I convinced Jessi to stop a few places on the way back....
The first two looked sooo good but did not produce fish...
Then we got to the Stump hole at Cape San Blas...at the Lighthouse.
There were huge schools of glass minnows with fish crashing them right and left... Even saw a few Tarpon jump!
Started catching fish after fish- Mostly Ladies but a few Blues mixed in...
Yes I need to go on a diet!
It was fish after fish for almost an hour!
Caught them on Jerk baits and jigs... could not get a bite on top water.
Killer bait was a Tsunami Trout Mauler in yellow/silver... Single hook made it easy to get the blues off.
I even let Jessi reel in a few She didn't want to cast but had fun anyway...
Jessi took the best pic of the day...
Came home with a big whiting, Flounder and 3 nice blues in the cooler.
Dad is smoking the blues as I write this!
Not bad for a pit stop.

Nice trip Barry......back in town to squeeze in one day of work huh before the weekend I used to love those random stopping trips looking for fish. I'll take a bluefish anyday......we just grilled a few the other night and they were smokin!!!
I'm off here in a few to go do some work for a guy with a nice little farm pond out Hwy. 90 East. I plan on slaying the bream in this overcast weather with the ultralight and a few choice beetle spins I'll let you know how I do

Alright Wheeler!! Ya better stop throwing those rocks in your glass house....
I know how you "work at the coast"
And you know I'll be showing houses this weekend- if the Hurricane doesn't blow us away.

Good to know there are some folks starting to look around again, finally. We need some money moving in the market again. Good luck with it Barry.bman wrote: And you know I'll be showing houses this weekend- if the Hurricane doesn't blow us away.
