If it follows the latest track and emerges into the Gulf just off the western tip of Cuba this weekend residents in a large of the area of the Gulf will have one heck of a headache a few days later....

I fear that it will come around Cuba, off the Yucatan, then sit in the Gulf while it builds and tries to decide where to go next.

I didn't mean go through the Yucatan, but rather between Cuba and the Yucatan. Putting it out in the Gulf. Hopefully, it will stay away for a bit. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. :-?

On the flip side. also just as rare is that one gets this far north and continues on to the west. They all turn north or northeastward.....

The ones that go through the Yucatan are further south at this point....

This one looks like a replay of the 1851 storm, which also was a cat 3 at landfall near Panama City (Which was not there then :smt102 ).

It don't look to good.... :smt009

It will not be going to old mexico, it will hit between N.O. and Pensecola. The feds are already staging personnel in Mobile for disaster relief. I don't like it, but dat's the truuf.
