mildew stains

Anybody got any good cleaning ideas to remove these from boat seat and cusions? nothing too harsh, but something that works.

I used Simply Green or White Lightening...if that doesn't do it...Clorox...don't let any of them get on the fiberglass, it will stain and/or dewax the area

Dolphinatic had a good mix that he recommended to me. I can't remember what it was though. When I get home I will look and see where I wrote it down unless he sees this post first.

try mister clean magic sponges. BB told me to try them on some road tar stains on the boat...worked just fine. Cleaned up my seats really nice too

Bleach will eat the theads even if really watered down.

It depends on how long the stains have been on there. Most of the time a diluted bleach/warm water solution will work applied with a hand squeezed spray nozzle, but may leave a discolored stain in the material when the mildew is removed. If this is the case, let me know and I have a cleaner polish that will remove the discoloration. You can also try a small amount of acetone on a terry cloth used very conservatively treating one small area at a time... just be very careful if you have never used it before and spot treat an area first.
