Just heard that Jerry Reed passed away today at 71 from complications associated with emphysema

He may have been known as a funny man but he could sure play that guitar.
Here he is with Chet

When I think of Jerry Reed, I think of the the song "Today is Mine" that Bill Dance used at the beginning of his fishing show for years.
I often sing it to myself at the beginning of a fishing day.

Hate to hear that Jerry Reed has passed.

He can be remembered for many things from acting, to singing, to comedy. And he did them all extremely well.
He will be sorely missed here on Earth. At least those above have a welcome new arrival.
