Keaton 9/6-7/08

A coworker is leaving for another job so we are doing a fish fry for him later this week. We had 6 person on a mission to catch enough fish to feed 20 adults. Also we did a little sidetrack to find some scallop as well, being that the season ends in a couple of days.
We left the marina at around 11.30 am and found the porgy at the channel again. Started scalloping at right away and had our 10 gallon and started fishing at around 2.30. You know its going to be a good day when the first cast by Calvin ended up with a keeper.

No more than 3 minutes later, while I was still rigging the other rods, Baohua's cork went down.
Baohua was hooked up.

then, Baohua's wife gets into the action
Calvin back in action again
and again, but this one is taking drag
which turned out to be a spanish, a nice one too

Most of the hits were in front of the drift, but finally Carmen's bait from the back of the drift got a hit.

The bite was so consistent that I was able to find time from taking care tangles, netting fish, retying hooks etc. to get into the action, catching a nice trout
and a bonus red
We quit at around 7 pm when we dont have any more room in the cooler.
At the cleaning table
I forgot the camera on Sunday but we fish from 8 am to noon and ended up with 11 keeper.
Total for both days, we ended up with 35 trout (24 Saturday and 11 Sunday) plus 2 spanish and redfish. I think we have enough fish for the fish fry.
