High-performance Riptide motors have advanced seven-layer saltwater corrosion protection for maximum resistance to the corrosive effects of saltwater, thanks to a urethane potting that permanently protects the electronic components. The composite shafts are unbreakable, flex on impact and return to their original position. They will not corrode and do not conduct electricity. The Weedless Wedge™ 2 is the next generation of weedless-prop technology from Minn Kota. This new design sports swept-back and flared blades to wedge weeds away for the ultimate in weedless- prop performance. It allows you to glide effortlessly through thick aquatic vegetation without draining the battery. Cool Power™ technology allows these motors to run much cooler than other motors, thanks to larger brushes. These motors also create less noise than others because of a bearing system that produces low RPMs and high torque. Maximizer™ technology efficiently converts electrical energy to mechanical thrust for up to five times longer running time on a single battery charge and offers infinitely variable speed control.
