I don't understand why they even bother to mess with the surfers. If they want to risk drowning, so be it, let them go. There are more serious offenders to be dealt with then surfers.

we did that every hurricane that came near naples fl.. its not that bad.. sand kinda stings when the wind picks up..its the ones that come from the other coast(miami) that you have to worry about because the rip tide will take you right out to sea instead of just down the beach..
