Finally bought an HD TV and the only audio output is for digital sound

I have analog wireless speakers outside for listening to the games, while watching through the windows "when we go out for smokes or just get to rambunctious for the interior"

so quality sound aint a priority, just being able to hear the announcers

anyone know where ta find a cheap converter "all I've seen run around $70"

What type of digital output? COAX or SPIDIF?
Either way looks like 60 bucks and up unless you can find a cheap receiver somewhere that has a D/a converter in it.

That link I posted seems to be the cheapest I found. You really should be running it to a receiver and do the switching that way. I know that's more money, but in the long run it will be "less ghetto".

Wevans, not to tip the apple cart too much, but why not just turn the volume up on the tv and crack the window a little. Or get some of those wireless headphones. Then you don't have to miss anything when have to go dispose of all those beers in the john.

Philips Flat TV 47PFL3603D 47" LCD Full HD 1080p with Pixel Plus HD
model #47PFL3603D/27
This is from their support page
https://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/dcb ... =US&slg=en#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
but, if I plug it into the headphone jack, the sound inside is muted
I guess I could just wait untill we get a satilite dish and use the audio output on the reciever for the wireless speakers
