Replacing in-line filter -- anything I need to know?

My new boat has an in-line fuel filter. Not sure how to replace it.

Can I just screw it off and screw on another one? Or is there something else to do?

And how often do I need to replace it?

Thanks, in advance, for any tips and advice.

It screws on and off just like an oil filter on a car. When you get the new one, fill it with fresh gas before screwing it on so you don't have to pump the bulb to fill it up. Make sure it is only hand tight.

The Service Manual should give you the times to change it. My Honda is every 200Hrs. if no hour meter once a year. I put about 300Hrs a year on my motor.
