Just a note on fishing Lk Erie today. Fished nearGull Reef for yellow perch using spreaders & shinners (minnows). My son Matt and I landed 50 perch @ 16 lbs. Yellow perch are some fine eating fish. We have a place at Econfina and can not wait to get back to the Reds & Trout this winter spring. See ya all on the river soon.

I would love to see some pictures if you have some! That sounds like a cool experience.

What city do you fish out of? I am from just south of Erie PA. The perch fishing is definately fun stuff. Good catch.
