10/16 Aucilla

Post by No Slack »

Took a day away from the job and headed to the river. On the water about 7:15 first red by 8 on a black/gold skitterwalk, 22". Drifted out to some rocks 1.5' and bagged a 18" trout on a pink skitterwalk. Slipped over to a bar to await the incoming tide. Threw into a school of passing jack crevalle and pulled out another 22" redfish on a Capt. Mike's gold/pink spoon. Once the tide began ripping over the bar, targeted a school of redfish and as they were herding bait about 10 yards from me, threw a purple/chartruese doa jerk shad=another 22" red in the boat. As it was getting pretty hot with little to no breeze, I took it to the house with a red and a trout. Enjoyed the day, found a couple new spots and took home supper, what more could I ask for.

That sounds good, No slack. The Aucilla is usually an awesome place to fish this time of year, glad to hear something is biting there.
