I love this community! We check up on each other and our Collective wisdom is great!
I want to say I'm sorry to you all
I posted something for my cousin without researching it- that was a mistake.
I would never knowingly market something with the number of issues this property has unless it was almost free.

NEVER AGAIN!!
My reputation and word is all I have- Your trust is so important.

The facility would be a nice acquisition for North Florida Gulf Fishing Club.
I think we will have some bucks left after our Christmas party and Awards banquet.

It's a nice place for sure. Great place to have a Christmas party too

I didn't know they were up "for sale" though. Neither did either of the buddys of mine that keep their boats there

After getting PM's from several of you here is the deal...
The CBC goes up for sale on 10/29. They are trying to find a buyer that will keep operations the same, down to the employees. Only assets such as equipment could be sold off. This is a big issue if they lose their forklift, the individual owners would have to replace it. Since it is a condo the slips are to remain the property of the individual owners. I don't know what the condo docs look like- This could cloud the title for individual owners and make resale difficult ... Duh
Here is the legal info... Case #: 08-00266-CA
Plaintiff: BUSEY BANK Defendant: THE CARRABELLE BOAT CLUB
F/J Amount: $5,018,018.97
Legal Description: SEE LEGAL ON LIS PENDENS

Thanks again, I really appreciate all of you!

Bman, no worries. I appreciate knowing about buying opportunities, and it's the seller's duty to disclose the details as far as I'm concerned. No trust lost here. In fact, it's good to read someone so concerned about reputation and integrity. See ya on the water.

Bert talked to his sources and says this is the real scoop......
the bank is foreclosing on the unsold units....all buildings, equipment, etc is owned by the HOA, and is not up for sale. It is anticipated that the bank will buy these units thru foreclosure, and then continue to sell them. . All operations are expected to continue as they are now
....
As always, If you guys know something else chime in!
