"One of the best meetings all year."
That was the comment from several members regarding the meeting format tonight.
Too tired right now to detail the events. Will do it tomorrow.
Missed all you guys who could not make it.
We had several new members tonight.
Hope to see everyone at the next and final tournament November 15 at Jerrys Bait and Tackle.
Anyone attending the meeting please go ahead and post your remarks.

What would be the chance of having the meetings and the tourneys moved towards the middle of the month rather than the first of the month so the retail business people can join in on more of the fun??? just wondering if the powers that be can toss the idea around so more of us can participate more regularly.

The November meeting of North Florida Gulf Fishing Club was called to order at 7 p.m. at Beef O'Brady.
There were 40 members and guest in attendance including several new members since last month.
There were 5 guest speakers conducting round table discussions.
These included:
Charles Schwartz from Tallahassee Marine Center speaking on winterizing your motor and general motor maintenance. With todays outboards there is more than meets the eye. He strongly recommended fuel and crankcase additives that help protect your engine and thereby reducing down time for repairs. Contact Charles at TMC @ 850-575-8623 for specifics.
Jeff Suber from Forgotten Coast Kayak Assoc. explained the fundamentals of kayaking in the Big Bend and recommended beginner kayaks.
John Vickers gave away all his secrets regarding the best ways to catch redfish from Keaton Beach to St. Joe Bay. Anyone using Johns' lures and location tips is sure to catch more reds.
Captain Junior Dice, renowned guide from Keaton Beach gave instructions on the best topwater lures and how to best present them for better than average results. He has many over 20" trout to back his philosophy. In fact, he has many over 30" trout to prove topwater is the key.
Captain Keith Cardin from BlueWave Charters demonstrated the single best way to rig a Cajun Thunder and chooses the Saltwater Assassin as the time favored bait to tip the jig.
The best part of this program is that all these experts are members of North Florida Gulf Fishing Club.

I had fun talking about kayak fishing with everyone, but I really wanted to hear Junior school me on Topwater. I could always use a few pointers. Somebody is gonna have to tell me what he said.
