Piney Island 11/11

I got some time Tuesday, so I got my plastic boat, paddles, a fishing partner and headed to the coast. The wind was howling on the paddle out, so I left the long rod in the truck. Five minutes after we started fishing, there was no wind. Had slow steady action from 1:00 till sunset. Found the reds along the big oyster bars and skinny, pushing wakes, terrorizing finger mullet on the shorelines. Found some trout (small) stacked thick in the deeper pockets around oyster bars. Great to get out of the woods and on the water.

25" Red on chartruese skitterwalk

26 1/2" red on redfish pattern skitterwalk. I missed him the first time because of a poorly placed cast into the marsh. He didn't want the plug with salad attached.

We saw a couple of big groups cruising west at a distance, but that was about it.
