NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 20 KNOTS. SEAS 5 FEET BUILDING
TO 7 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON. PROTECTED WATERS CHOPPY. A SLIGHT
CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

I really want to go fishing this weekend!

I want to put in at Saint Marks and maybe stay in the St. Marks River or East River, I have never actually fished in either of these areas. (I mainly drift the East Flats and a few spots west of the Lighthouse)

Anyone have any tips/advice... Also are there any big rocks in the East River? Or anything else besides the oyster bars to look out for? (I will be in an 18' Flats boat if that helps)

I wouldn't go this weekend. That is a pretty crapy forecast. If you hunt, do that instead!

With the tourney being on Saturday, I doubt that your gonna get much advise untill Saturday night

Well, it looks like I will be working on the "Honey do" List this weekend.

With that wind out of the west you might want to try our rivers, them fish are in um right now pretty thick.

Caught my limit of Trout off a sandbar point from 4:30 to 6 this afternoon "in the "O" " biggest was 18" and the rest of the keepers where between that and 15" "only two shorts and a short Red" I'll be back in the river again tomorrow mornin

Well I tried calling Vickers, Taylorand Cook to see if the tournament was still on, but got no answer. SO if you fish tomorrow and itswindy out of the NW, Stick close to a NW shore with lots of trees.

When I want to fish out of the wind from a boat, I take the kayak, less affected by wind than the canoe, catch the rising tide and hit the creeks putting the side of the boat right up against the marsh grass on the windward side of the creek. Then I fish ahead of the boat right on the edge as I work my way up the creek. I have never caught a lot of fish per trip doing this, but at least one trout per trip in the mid-twenty inch range is not unusual and shorts are very rare.

That is sound advice. That is the method we used today except out of an 18' boat.LOL

Managed to find some new creeks and explored a little trying to get out of the wind. We even cought 3 decent Reds.

Sure beat sittin at the house!!
