I've done that twice, once on my boat and once with my Dad. They've always been there when I needed them and the guys that run the Sea Tow boats are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet.

I thought mistakenly that either tow would honor membership in each other but not the case as I found out last Saturday. Sea Tow did come back to me on the radio but would not pick us up even thought 2 people had been thrown out of the boat ! I'm not happy about that at all! We have BoatUS and the big red boat was in Carrabelle having work done on it but the BoatUS people put a personel boat in the water to come tow us in .To be fair, I dont know if Boat US would have reciprocated with Sea Tow membership but was shocked that they, ( Sea Tow) , would not come get us . I think both need to rethink reciprocity and honor the other's memberships. Does anyone else have any ideas or concerns about this ? We had injuries and had to wait 40 minutes to get brought in soaking wet.

Nw don't get me wrong we were very lucky and I feel very fortunate to be alive writing to you but that is another story.

If you had injuries the coast guard should have been your first call.

That's what I thought too. And you pay them a membership with your tax dollars.
