Talquin slabs

They are biting. I plan on going with my buddy who caught these this coming weekend. Nice filets that taste great fried!! :-D

Red are they up in the river yet or were you out in the lake? Some of my most favorite memories are fishing up the Ocklocknee from Coe's. Nice catch.

Yes, they are biting. I took home 15 today and threw back at least 5 for every keeper. My fish came out of 16-20 ft of water slow trolling jigs in the lake. Surface temp is 55 F. Yesterday, I only cought 3 keepers but I spent most of my time trying to control the boat instead of fishing. The wind was awful. It's only gonna get better.

Go out at Talquin Lodge. The stumps aren't too bad from there to the damn. Go easy, follow another boat. No worse than going out at Aucilla or Ecofina.
