Thanksgiving Weekend 2008

What a weekend.
Thanksgiving went with Talltails to Bob Sikes Cut, and fished with some mullet I bought the night before. Talltails managed to pick up two Reds and a Sea Bass. The biggest Red was 28". We left at the beginning of incoming and went to try our luck at Rattlesnake cove and it pretty much was dead. Very dead.
Friday morning went to Spring Creek area and caught a bunch of reds but we were looking for big-guns and left for Alligator Harbor. FIshed off the Oyster Bars with Gulps and managed about thirty Reds and the bigest was 25" that Talltails caught. We also caught 6 flounder. I managed one on a spoon.
Saturday Morning went back to Spring Creek and paddled all the way around to Old Creek and caught about 20 Trout and left them biting Molten 3" Gulp shrimp, Capt Mike Green 3/8 weedless spoons, and topwater. They ate whatever I tossed at them. However, I'm looking for big Reds and was unsure what I did with my truck keys so I went back to the hill. Found them in the back of the truck so I drove over to AH and met up with the probation officer. Waited on the tide and chit chatted a little. I told him that he should stake out Talltails house for selling counterfeit Gulps. We paddled over to the grass threw CM Spoons and picked up a dozen reds a piece up to 24" and called a day to go watch the FSU vs UF game.
Bob Sikes Cut on Thanksgiving Morning

Talltails rest on the rocks with his kayak tethered off.

Another Flounder on a spoon.

One of many reds that were smaller than i needed for online tourney.

Probation Officer hooks a nice Red.

Probations officer smiles for the Glory shot.

And yet another one.
