1st post on the site. I have followed read the forum for a while when I have the chance. Enjoy the forum and all the info that it produces. I get to go from time to time so I figured what the heck I may as well give out what little info I can.
So here goes : Looked at NOAA Wednesday night, wife says if you wanna go we better go Thursday cause that looks like the only good day(told me I'm not gonna put up w/u whining all weekend because of the weather). I LOVE MY WIFE. Kids were at in-laws in Jax. Wife and I left Cairo bout 6 am headed to the fort, already had frozen sardines and squid. Put in at the fort and headed out bout 7:45. Water was like glass, run out approximately 22 miles S/SE to 30-33 ft deep. Water temp was 55.7*. All in all we had a great day on the water, very quiet and relaxing. Caught lots of fish bottom fishing(just not the right size), caught nothing trolling. 3 boats in the same area trolling and saw no one catch any on a plug.Headed back to fort by 4 pm.
Tally for the day:
1 keeper grouper 32"

11 good rockies

30 pinkmouths
Hope you enjoy reading,
Daryl
