ANKYFUN...

Wow what a great couple of days...mostly overcast.....winds Friday and lack thereof on Saturday no problem....trout and reds stacked up in creekmouths....
as Jackie Gleason used to say...."how sweet it is."

Topwater, spoons and 4" gulps on 1/16 jighead seemed to be the ticket although I think just about anything would work.

Good couple of days and good to hear. Where were the tides when they were biting outside the creekmouths?

I did best during mid to late falling each day...pushed it to limit on Friday and spent 4 hours on a sand bar waiting on water to come back. In hindsight I would have just gone
up creek and could have moved around a little and fished while awaiting exit water. Those flats can dry up in a hurry!

Last time I was down there I got hung up in a creek for a couple of hours, that's no fun! Glad you found them!

These tides are why you carry a thermos of coffee and two tins of sardines. After you mix those two together, you will carry your boat back to the ramp to get something to wash that taste out of your mouth. :smt005

I feel that pain....I had cold coffee and smoked oysters...had to stay upwind of my own breath!

Not a bad sounding day.
Sorry to hear about you getting stranded but that is the way it goes in winter.

I did nap for a couple of hours....got sleepy watching those little birds walk around boat and peck peck peck. I was going to walk around some but that bottom was soft for sure. Great day no less! When I finally got in one of neighbors was getting airboat ready to look for me....great to have super neighbors!
