St George 12-4

Post by bman »

A little late on the post but thought you guys would want the info...
Took the Yak to St George last week and fished out of the park... Had some friends from the ATL renting a place down there.
Caught a good number of trout in 5' of water out from the campground. No Bruisers but about 6 over 20"
Was trying for Reds and has several follow but no takers. Still shocked that trout were feeding in 5' with the water temp so cold.
Fished in the am and pm- tide didn't seem to matter. Caught trout on Gold Spoons and Gulp.

I really want to get back on the water but have too much work right now...

May have shared this before but I have had nice trout try to take the rod away in the surf on spoons from the beach in crystal clear water at St. G. Thanks for report.
