Enconfina 12/20

Post by sundown »

Left ramp this morning at 6:50 with high expectations. Got down to the no wake zone and you couldn't see the front of the boat for the fog.
Finally made it to the tri pod and moved over to the cut to see what was going to happen. Started raining! We put the top up and and started slowly moving to deep water. Put stretches out at 15' and started trolling. Nothing much happened . Stuck with it till about 2:30. caught two gags, one short and the other too close to take a chance on keeping plus several nice black bass and a 12" flounder that hit a stretch 25 in 19" water..
Started back to fish a little of the rising tide just before 3 and the fog still hadn't lifted.. All day listened to the tow services hunting down boats that had problems. Heard coast guard asking for any info on a boat that was on fire and the passengers in the water. Wondered if they ever found it.
Ran up one creek on the way in and Jay caught two nice reds. Tide was slow coming back in and had to manuver carefully. We loaded at 5:30 . Long day and didnt catch what I had anticipated but we had a good time. Ready to go back next week !

Nice going Sundown. Did you go yesterday? I saw a boat like yours headed south on 19 @ Blaylock in Albany about 7:30am.
