Battery charger question

Went out this morning to charge batteries on my boat..hoping to get to St Marks in morning.
After I had plugged the onboard charger up, I looked to see if it was charging. The green power light was on and charger was making a clicking noise. Usually the red charging light comes on and stays on till the batteries are charged. This is a 24 volt system and charger is new.. (5 months). Anybody else experienced anything like this ? aany help greatly appreciated as my boat shop is closed this week !

1. Maybe they are fully charged.
2. Maybe the motor switch is on .

Is it possible that they are fully charged and the charger is just cycling through, waiting for them to require charging? You should be able to put a drain on them to check that "run the trolling motor for a short time", but be carefull not to over-heat the trolling motor "no water to cool it down"

I cleaned all the connections and drained the batteries real good last Sat. Same problem. Took it to Flint River Marine this morning and Davis just changed it out. guess a bad charger.. Great boat dealer though, he looks after his customers !

Gald to hear it's corrected Sundown. Davis is a class act!
