Thick fog all the way out to 20 miles all day long. Left at 7:00 AM. Caught a few pinfish. Headed out fairly slow. Caught a few keepers in 20 to 25 foot trolling and bottom fishing. Caught many throw backs trolling and bottom fishing. Moved out deeper and caught better keepers. Kept our 4 gags and headed back to ramp around 5:30 PM.
Total for weekend:
$60 in gas for truck to ride from Columbus, GA and back.
$100 gas for boat at $2.56 a gallon.
$30 for beer and lunch.
$25 in plugs that were destroyed by the groupers.
$215 total for weekend.
over $50.00 per grouper for our 4 fish gag limit.

Tom- we thought about you too late. We had others coming but they were a last minute cancellation. Greg Junior came down with a kidney stone at the last minute. We caught the best fish on "jackpot"................remember that one?

I was thinking the same thing myself I could have brought some of my plugs to ruin, upped your limit and payed my part of the fuel bill.
I usually spend close to as much catching a few trout and redfish and only drive from Valdosta I still don't mind as long as I make it back safe though.

If you had four pounds of filets per fish it was cheaper than the store.

It was cheaper that 18 holes of golf with beer breaks though!

When I was getting some crab meat from Myway a couple weeks ago and there was a fella buying some Grouper. The smallest fish they had was around 10 pounds and it was over $50 for it "uncleaned"
