Didn't have time to go coastal and wanted to get the boat wet, so I headed over to Talquin. Just kind of learning the lake, so spent most of the time cruising in and out creeks and trying to dodge the speck bonanza around the channel. Only caught one fish; but, it was beefy. Guesstimate about a 12-15lb striper. Would have had a picture; but, the fish didn't seem to like it much when I picked him up and he made an early exit out of the boat. Still was a pull on my line.

Caught on a Red Eye Shad...about 8 foot of water.

Glad ya got out. But I'd appreciate it if you would leave my lake and my pet fish alone.

Nice job on the striper, but the specks are mighty tasty!

Hey, I think i saw you there! I was in one of those spider rig boats, pulling in some slabs. The bite was a little slow, but we kept 15 over a lb each.

Nice job, did you catch that striper on an ultra-light since you were speck fishing?

I wasn't speck fishing, I was bass fishing. I was just dodging the rather large crowd of speck fisherman. I caught him on a baitcaster, medium rod, and 10lb mono. It was fun enough.
Redbelly, you probably did see me. There weren't too many boats out there with a poling platform
