Stafford just announced he is leaving UGA along with his little friend Moreno! Press conference just ended:evil:

If I was 20 or 21 years old and had kind of money thrown in my face, you'd have to buy a new door.
I think he'll do fine in the NFL as long as he winds up in the right situtation. Maybe the Jets take him and start him next year. But please not Detroit, that's where players go to die.
Moreno will do fine in the NFL as well, especially as a complimentary back, for now atleast. He'll probably be like Warrick Dunn, small and durable and get his touches.

i have to agree with BG. Stafford has one of the best arms in college ball. I figured Moreno would go but Stafford would have done himself well financially had he of stayed. Good luck Dawgs next year!

I'll have to disagree with you BB. If I understand correctly, this is the last year before the cap is put on the signing bonus. Could cost players big bucks to pass on this years draft......If I understand correctly. By the way, good to see you on the site again !

Actually, Roger came out and said that the new player agreement wouldn't be enforcable until the 2011 draft, so they would have an extra year for the big bucks, but oh well.

Hey Mark! thanks bud! been MIA in some Badcock stores here lately but I m about caught up now. Sorry for my ignorance, i too thought the new salary rules were in 2011. Id still like to of seen Stafford stay for his senior year. He's a hell of a QB!

Hate it ... those guys leave with unfinished business. Next year should be a different year if we can keep the injuries down. Oh well, can't say that I blame them. They will make a LOT of money.
