Pastor Clyde Owen passing -- Wakulla Co. Honey Man

My wife just heard on the radio that Pastor Clyde Owen of Wakulla County passed away. Any of you who traveled along Hwy 98 to our favorite fishing spots probably knew this tall, thin gentle man for selling Tupelo honey from his little blue truck (another man has been selling it for him recently). I got to know him by buying honey, and I don't know if I've ever met a man who walked more closely with God. A number of missionaries around the world were totally supported by his honey sales. I visited him last week, and he was telling me of his great peace in being called to Heaven, but how he obviously had his loved ones on his mind. My thoughts and prayers go out to these loved ones.
One of many things I learned from him was that pure honey (if sealed) doesn't spoil. I prayed for a Bible verse that I could dedicate to him, so I had to smile when I opened to this one which has dual meaning: John 6:27 "Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him."
