Just don't understand!

Why someone would run WIDE-OPEN in a foot of water on a near negative low tide at Econfina

. But the end result was a 115 4-stroke Yamaha without a lower unit. As me and Trouttrent witnessed the impact Saturday morning. The boat was a 18 to 20 foot Dura craft , hope it wasn't any of you guys. And for the fishing report we caught a couple of reds and a couple of trout, I think the fish were to cold to move.

Chuck, I don't understand that or the jacka$$'s that we saw Saturday that thought it was o.k. for them to catch and gaff at least 15 AJ's with six people on board. They clearly knew the regs as they repeated them to us several times. They thought that it was o.k. because they drove all the way from Moultrie and they didn't have to obey the regs. One of them was bragging that he had to appear in court next month because a fwc officer picked on him for a 21 3/4 gag. May the folks on the 20' blue and white Sea Chaser with T-Tops and blue canvas have many days in court and off of our great resource.

Where abouts did the stupidity occur? In the river, or out? Just wondering if you and Jeff were on Jeff's spot in the river and got a good close up view

I've sat out there and witnessed that a few times.....talk about your morning coming to an abrupt end

A buddy of mine just found a lower unit out there and it still had the new stainless prop attached. If one of you guys lost one, let me know the make and h.p. and you can come claim your prop

Sea Dawg, you could not be more correct, and it ate at me all day yesterday that I didn't get that info. I had left my camera at home or I would have taken a picture of the boat and got the # off the boat. To be quite honest I just felt sick to my stomach, it was a sad site. I also had the problem of not knowing where they put in at. I also questioned whether or not an officer could do anything about it once they had given some of the fish away before leaving that spot. It was either "take some of these fish or we are gonna throw them back", dead. IMHO it is just a pure waste and an unwillingness to obey the regs.

That guy is from Pavo not Moultrie. I know exactly who you are talking about.
PM me if you would like to pursue it further. I'm not trying to throw the guy under the bus but crap like that makes us all look bad and does nothing but help those that want to close all personal take fishing. Yes, I know only folks from GA go to FL and bring back fish, ya'll guys release everything.

FWC tip line is on speed dial on my phone 888-404-3922 I would drop the dime in a heart beat.
By the way they I am pretty sure they can also be charged for giving away fish.

RC, the purpose of my post was not to point out that they were from Georgia. I am also not worried about pursueing this because there is nothing that can be done. These folks know who they are and if they continue to fish like this then it will catch up to them. I am not the law, just someone that loves to fish and believes in perserving our resource so that everyone can enjoy it. We like to complain about the regs but stuff like this happens all the time and it does give rec fisherman a bad name. We have a great resource here and could keep it that way, it's up to us. .02
