Any of yall ever gone on just a catch and release trip when a seasons out or something need to know thinking about going on one for grouper. happy fishing.

Too much temptation for me..I won't chance it..

It is my belief that most of my fishing trips are like that... or at least I can say I released them all.

Its a good time to locate new spots. Theres still some filets that are legal. If I get the chance Im going.

If they're shallow enough.

Can't say that I've ever done it for grouper, but I have done C&R trips for trout, reds & bass. With trout the season being closed comes into play, but much more often these trips are directly related to how much fish I have back at the house. They stay fresher if left in the water until needed.

I might would consider catch & release if I was inside Fl waters that way I would still have a chance ta bring a couple Red Grouper home with me

I will still fish this month and if I catch a trout I will release it. I am not going to target them but they are still fun to catch!

Don't chance it cuz, the "man" seems to frown on it if you are dragging grouper rods right now.

I don't have any problem with it. Me I just love to fish,taking them home is a real bonus but they fight the same wether your taking them home or not.
