We had a record turnout for the February NFGFC Redfish Tournament as 33 boats signed up. There were several impressive fish weighed. Chew on this for a second - to finish in the top 10, you needed to weigh a fish over 5 lbs. To finish in the top 5, you need to weigh a fish over 6 lbs. Some great fish from some great fisherman.

Congrats to Eric Keyser and Matt "Chewy" Sims for catching a 7.65 pound red that took home first place. Their red won them $355.

2nd place went to the young gun Warren Smith and his partner, Brian Proctor. They weighed a 6.81 pound redfish that won them $227 plus the Custom Detailing Second place big fish of $50 for a total of $277.

3rd place went to John "BayGator" Wiley and his wife, Cornelia. They missed out on 2nd by 1/100 of a pound as their 3rd place fish weighed 6.80 lbs winning them $157.

Congrats to Keith Waldrep and Joey Degross as they won the "Most Spots" sidepot. Their 14 spot redfish won them $330.

The Badcock and More Mystery Fish carried over as no flounder were weighed.

Congrats to our winners and I hope to see all of y'all (plus some of you lurkers out there) at our next tournament, March 7, at the Keaton Beach Marina.

Congrats to all the winners and Keyser for the 1st place red

All we could find today were the trout still hanging around the Carrabelle River. Hung 1 red and lost it  Fished from Carrabelle River to Lanark without the first bite :o All fish caught in the river. Today was a total bust for me including my new cell phone that is laying on a grass bed in 4 ft. of water somewhere around Lanark :smt009 Oh well, there's always the next one!

Don't worry 'bout the phone, I've lost or beat the heck out of so many that I'm under contract with Alltel till 2105.

Andrew and I had a great time and met a lot of good folks. Thanks to Huck Finn and Mrs. Huck for the cooking and help with one of my work projects. Andrew was so hungry by the time we got to weigh-in that he swears it was the best hotdog he ever put in his mouth.

The shear number of foks at the weigh-in was very impressive. I hope to get a chance to meet all of you.
