Went down to do some fly fishing, but it wasn't in the cards. The wind was blowing pretty good the entire time. Saturday: We searched an entire quadrant of the bay for reds with nothing to show for it except one strike on topwater. Saw more reds on the flats in January. Skunked. I guess they are all schooled up in another quadrant.
Sunday: Prematurely shot over to the beach to look for pomps but the beach temp was 58 when we got over there and there wasn't much happening. We cut off our jigs and replaced them with carolina rigged frozen shrimp and started sightfishing sheepshead that were cruising around in a couple of large schools on the beach.

Scored this nasty single about 2 minutes after re-rigging. 10 lbs on the bobo grip.

This dude even showed up when the water warmed

Fun stuff, took lemons and made lemonade. We'll get them next time.
