Force Motor

Someone tell me about a Force motor built by Mercury. Found a deck boat thats nice but has a Force motor on it. I have been told force was made by left over Mercury parts. Any comments on it.

Force is the old Chrysler motor. Mercury bought them out and put the Force name on them. Pretty good motors, if you can find parts.

I've had two of em, the 40hp was a good, strong motor 
the 120hp was one big POS that I put more money into than it was worth 
the 40 was the newer one that Mercury put out and the 120 was a Crysler product
