Cairo Bass and I headed to Keaton yesterday and experienced some weird water. We caught 7 trout by 10:00 and never really got any good action. I had a nice gator up to the boat and watched him somehow get loose from two sets of treble hooks that I couldn't tie a knot without getting stuck with. Needless to say there was about thirty seconds of silence after that. Same thing happened on the next fish, got off right at the boat??? Caught a few and left about 4:00. Maybe should've stuck around til dark, but we were tired of throwing with no takers. Plenty of pinfish out there for those looking. 8 trout--- 2 of them keepers to end the long day.
