The only person I have fished with that uses them kept snatching the lips off the trout with his carrot stick rod.

I field tested 1 for Heath @ South GA Outdoors when he 1 st got them. The 7 ft med./heavy casting is a very capable spoon/swimbait rod for redfish. I give them

I talked to a guy who sells them and he called them the "snap-crackle-pop" rod. He said he has had so many this year bust in two. I was about to buy one, he said he couldn't recommend it. He did however say that he would rather sell me a Falcon. In fact he said many customers have been bringing back their busted carrot sticks for a Falcon.

FALCON makes a fine rod.

They're no more breakable than any other rod. In fact I know of 1 that got caught in a trolling motor and actually wound up on the prop, it was unwound and was good to go. Pretty strong testament in my book.

Not sure BD, I have never fished with one. That opinion came from a store owner who decided to quit carrying them. I just can't get used to the color but I am a G-Loomis man.

The carrot stick is the least broke rods I recieve back including Challenger,Shimano and Falcon. I have all of these rods and prefer my CS over all of these but that is my opinion. I hope I didnt break any thread rules by saying that.

The dealer probably quit carrying them because they are so hard to get right now because they are so popular.

I personally think the CS's are the best on the market have caught many big Red's and Trout with no issues, for the Falcon's they are good also unless you have a promblem and there warranty stinks.

I want to take back anything I ever said bad about Carrot Stix. I got one for a Christmas present and I am VERY impressed. It is a 7 foot MH rod with fast action. I put a Calcutta 200b on it with Power Pro and it is awesome. Awesome rod!!
