I will be there for four days with boat in tow it is a 31' Fountain with twin 200's.
Any ideas on where to launch, affordable dock space or safe overnight parking would be helpfull.
Any ideas on where to fish also would be great. The hotel has a lot but it is 1st come 1st serve.
It would suck to get there and have no place to park her. Whats running now Cobia, Macks & Groupers??

nah the annual ins agency convention wens thru sun been with them 25 years.
The big dog is a buddie that I fish with and did a favor for that said he wants to come down.
So my bill is fuel bait ice and boat storage and launch fees only.
We will fish some of the agents and they will kick to cover some of that.
Talked to a Captain this a.m. the Cigs. just showed up & he caught his 1st King yesterday.
Snapper are chewing like crazy but we will roll out to the color change and do the Tuna & Wahoo show.
It will be my 1st time for both & as long as we don't rush that boat is pretty cheap on gas.
It will do 60 mph but at 35 - 40 it don't even break a sweat twin Merc 200 EFI's.
They are trying to get me to do SKA with them, hey left nut, hey right nut, who's that prick in the middle?
WAM
They have done it for a while and avg enough in the money to pay expenses but not a profit.
The other boat is in Vero its a 31 Contender but we will bring the Fountain it's here in Ga.

The best palce to put in is off of Beach Rd on the W. side of Destin and you are not but about 1 mile from the Destin bridge. The landing is Joes Bayou. Don't know where to store the boat though.

Blue Water Bay marina over on rocky bayou (niceville, FL) has transient slips if you don't mind running across the bay to get to the cut. It is about 7 miles across the bay. Early morning, its a fifteen minute ride. I think there is another marina over at Shalimar that has transient slips for rent. I don't remember the name of it. There is pretty good trout fishing from joe's bayou south towards the mid bay bridge.

I would find a marina near one of the passes and try to get dry and or wet storage. I would secure that before dragging a 31 footer down. Cobia are in full swing if the wind will lay and the rain will stop.
