Biily,
I need two six 1/2 or seven foot trolling rods to use for grouper or kings. I want glass blanks with some flex at the tip. You make anything like that??

hi sea trout
the spiral rod works very well when trolling, you get a total stand up rod with no twist this means no gimble needed the rod will remain standing true. when you turn the boat the rod will only turn about 10 percent it remains straight in an upright position, then when you get a fish on you will be able to handle the fish as you have never handled a fish before, i have been trolling a spiral for grouper for a number of years now and i can tell you matter of factily its the cats meow.
once again the spiral rod is a totally different kind of fishing rod, if you have never fished a spiral rod, then you havent fished.
tom keels will have a spiral rod soon, perhaps he can help enlighten you guys on the merits of the billystix spiral.
please check out my spiral page on

thanks for the intrest

Billy,
What is the price range for a 6 1/2 to 7 foot spiral trolling rod?? I'm looking for something with a medium action. Don't want a broomstick.
