BIG NEWS: Obama directs cabinet to save $100million

Sorry, but I must be missing something here...just recently Obama laughed off questions about $8BILLION in pork and it's top news when he has his FIRST partially-filled cabinet meeting
and announces plans to save $100MILLION! The American public is again being treated as total idiots! $100MILLION means nothing without divulging the expenditures and budgets of the
departments singled out. In relation to the March federal deficit of $192.3BILLIONS the $100MILLION = a whopping 1/20th of 1%. Over the next ten years when the $3.6TRILLION 2010 budget
gifts us with an estimated $9.3TRILLION in deficits putting emphasis on saving $100MILLION seems almost a joke!
Why not get real and run the fed government like a private business for a few months: get rid of thousands of secretaries, junior level managers and 90% of senior managers and give them 90 days
to operate within budgets or get fired; let everyone working for the federal government pay for their own housing, meals, insurance, health care and transportation....period; pay senators and congressmen
minimum wage and give them a gold plated watch every few years for gratitude; and, quickly institute a universal flat tax system and eliminate the IRS. I see no reason these things can't be accomplished in
30 days....then we can get down to business.
We need to go ahead and support Israel's intent and capability to handle Iran since we won't and put a bounty on Chavez.
In other words, to hell with personality diplomacy!
To keep things in perspective, I would also limit news coverage to only items $1BILLION or more!
Let's get this country back on track to greatness!
