Put in right after daylight..Got to flats water looked like water in okeefenokee swamp..It were dark !
Weather man was right on the money today. 15 mph plus wind till About 12 with higher gusts...flats were real choppy..

Went into area I hadn't fished in a couple years. I got a 18" trout pretty quick on a skitterwalk which turned out to be the bait of the day. Turns out this was the only trout we saw all day too.

We moved in around 10:30 just before the low tide and found the reds herded up in about 2' water..they liked the skitterwalks..caught some husky ones. marked area carefully !

Moved out to about 9' around one and dragged some Clark spoons....several stikes but only one large spanish to show for it...tried the trout on a grub but only caught some bait. Put out a couple baits on the chance a cobia might happen by but none showed up.

Loaded about 4 and came on back....Nice day and didnt tear nothing up !

Sounds like a fun day to me! Away from Lee County....tangle with some fish as reds play Harlem Globetrotters with Skitterwalks...return with rig intact! Sounds like my exact game plan for the weekend!
Thanks for sharing!
